Navigating Vimeo

This article describes various options for navigating Vimeo.

1. Login to CPM Educational Account

Supervisor will provide the password.

1.1. Open Vimeo.

1.2. Click 'Log in'.

1.3. Enter CPM Education Program email and password into the corresponding textboxes and then click the 'Log in with email' button.

2. Upload the Video

2.1. Click the 'New' button and then select 'Upload' from the dropdown menu.

2.2. Click the 'Upload' tab.

2.3. Click the first dropdown menu and select 'CPM Educational Program'.

2.4. Click the 'Library' dropdown menu and select the folder where you want to add the video.

2.5. Click the video file (.mp4) from your personal folder and then drag it to Vimeo 'Upload'  tab.

3. Update the video information/settings.

3.1. Edit the 'Title' and/or add 'Description' if applicable.

3.2. Add/replace the thumbnail.

3.2.1. Click the 'Add thumbnail' button and then select 'Select from video'.

3.2.2. Click the play button to select a frame.

3.2.3. Scan through the video and then click the 'Select this frame' button once you see the frame you want to use as a thumbnail.

3.2.4. Click the thumbnail that was just added.

3.3. Click the 'Content' dropdown menu and select 'All audiences'

3.4. Click the 'Language' button and select 'English (United States)'.

4. Change the Privacy Settings

4.1. Click the 'Share' button.

5. Edit/Add the Specific Domains.

5.1. Click the 'Share' button.

5.2. Click the 'Embed' tab.

5.3. Click the 'Embed privacy' dropdown menu and then select 'Specific domains'.

5.4. Enter the specific domain in the textbox under 'Allowed domains' and then click the plus icon.

Note that video will only show on the listed domain. Any sites that are not on the list will receive an error message when video link is clicked.

google.com
player.vimeo.com
professionallearning.cpm.org
textbooks.cpm.org

6. Change the Player Appearance

6.1. Locate and/or click the video to be updated.

6.2. Click the 'Player' icon.

6.3. Select the 'Appearance' option.

6.4. Click each blue boxes and then toggle each options on/off to change the appearance (i.e.: company logo, play bar, etc.).

6.5. Click the 'Save' button.

7. Replace Video with a New Version

7.1. Locate and/or click the video to be updated.

7.2. Click the horizontal three dots icon to view more options and then select 'Replace video'.

8. Adding to a Library

8.1. Click the plus icon next to 'Library' on the menu at left panel.

8.2. Enter the 'Folder name' in the textbox.

8.3. Click the 'Create' button.
