IC Chapter Preview Videos

These are video requests from PL team to be uploaded in Vimeo and YouTube. Requests are received via Asana: IC Activity Tracking Videos, Activities,Animations. Remember to put your name under "Assignee" column.

1. Check the video upload request in Asana.

1.2. Click the download button.

2. Upload video to the Static server.

2.1. Log-in to the server.

2.2. Click the following path: pdfs → Videos Raw → IC → PL_IC Chapter Videos

2.3. Copy or click the file from your finder and paste or drag it to the Static server (PL_IC Chapter Videos folder).

3. Upload the video to Vimeo.

3.1. Log-in to Vimeo.

3.2. Upload the video file.

3.2.1. Click the 'New' button and select 'Upload'.

3.2.2. Click the first dropdown menu and select 'CPM Educational Program'.

3.2.3. Click the second dropdown menu and select the appropriate folder.

3.2.4. Click the file from your finder and drag it to Vimeo.

3.3. Add the Title.

If the link is not provided in the request, click this link: Vimeo / YouTube Videos.

3.3.2. Copy the the title from Google sheet (Column E) and paste it to Vimeo (Title textbox).

3.4. Change the thumbnail.

3.4.1. Click the 'Add thumbnail' icon and then select 'Select from video'.

3.4.2. Click the play button, then browse through the time bar to select a frame, and then click the 'Select this frame' button.

Select a frame where it shows the Table of contents as shown below.

3.4.3. Click the new thumbnail.

3.5. Change the Visibility to 'Unlisted'.

3.5.1. Click the 'Manage Privacy' icon.

3.6. Update Closed Captions if needed.

3.6.1. Click 'Captions' button on the left pannel and then select 'Closed captions'.

3.6.2. Click 'Transcript' tab and then click the 'Edit transcript' button.

3.6.3. Click the 'Confirm' button to save the changes.

3.7. Add the chapter markers or timestamps.

3.7.1. Go back the to the request from Asana.

3.7.2. In Vimeo, click 'Interactive' and then click 'Chapters'.

3.7.3. Click the 'Add a chapter' button.

3.7.4. Hover you mouse on the 'Chapter Title' and then click the 'Edit Chapter' button.

3.7.5. Enter the 'Name' and 'Star time' and then click the 'Close button.

3.7.6. Repeat steps 3.7.3 through 3.7.5 to add more chapters.

3.7.7. Click the 'Save' button.

4. Upload the video to YouTube.

4.1. Log-in to YouTube.

4.2. Open 'YouTube Studio'.

4.2.2. Select 'YouTube Studio'.

4.3. Upload the video file.

4.3.1. Click the 'CREATE' button and select 'Upload videos'.

4.3.2. Click the file from your finder and drag it to YouTube.

4.4. Add information needed under 'Details'.

4.4.1. Title: Enter the title in the 'Title' textbox.

Title format: IC# Chapter # Preview

4.4.2. Thumbnail: Click 'Upload file', then select the file from your finder, and then click the 'Open' button.

Select a frame from the video you want to use as a thumbnail and take a screenshot.

Select a frame where it shows the Table of Contents.

4.4.3. Playlists: Click the 'Select' dropdown, click the checkbox next to the playlist, and then click 'DONE'.

You can also search the playlist by typing in the search textbox.

4.4.4. Audience: Select 'Yes, it's made for kids' and then click the 'NEXT' button.

It is important to ALWAYS select 'Yes, it's made for kids'.

4.5. Add information needed under 'Video elements'.

4.5.1. Add subtitles if needed.

4.5.2. Click the 'NEXT' button.

4.6. Add information needed under 'Checks'.

4.6.2. Click the 'NEXT' button.

4.7. Add information needed under 'Visibility'.

4.7.1. Click 'Unlisted'.

4.7.2. Click the 'SAVE' button.

4.8. Edit Subtitle or Closed Captions if needed.

4.9. Add the chapter markers or timestamps.

4.9.1. Go back the to the request from Asana.

4.9.2. In YouTube, click 'Details'.

4.9.3. Copy the chapter markers from Asana and paste to the 'Description' textbox.

Do not include the ending timestamps and make there should only be one space in between title and timestamp.

4.9.4. Click the 'SAVE' button.
