Dreamweaver: Importing Lessons

1. Boot Dreamweaver and select HTML.

2. Immediately, save the file in the correct folder with an extension .html.

3. Choose Split screen.  Then click in the Design Area.  The curser should be blinking in that area.

4. Go to file --> Import --> Word Document.

5. Use the up folder and browse to the Word document to import.  Double click the file.

6. Large files will complain about being large.  That's ok.  Then it will ask for image descriptions.  Type pic for each.

I usually copy "pic" and paste it for each.  When finished, click OK.  You should be seeing the HTML code in the code area.  The design should be in the bottom screen.

7. Save.  Hit the refresh button to see all of your files (images and html file) making sure it worked!
