This article describes the procedures to add Glossary, CCSS, and Strategy items to eBooks so that the definitions popup. Last updated: 7-27-2020
There are 3 types of popup content in eBooks:
- Reference section has Glossary - called glossary in C3PO https://ebooks.cpm.org/bookdb.php?title=cc1&name=reference.glossary&type=glossary
- Teacher section has CCS Standards - called ccss in C3PO https://ebooks.cpm.org/bookdb.php?title=cc1&name=teacher.ccss&type=ccss
- Teacher section has Strategies - called tstrategies in C3PO https://ebooks.cpm.org/bookdb.php?title=cc1&name=teacher.strategies&type=tstrategies
Each C3PO type will automatically show on their eBook page in alphabetical order. An eBook page does not need to exist in order to add or use any popup content. Although, if a page exists the new popup item will be added to it.
** CCS Standards only shows in the CC1 eBook. To access the same page in other eBooks, change the eBook name in the URL.**
The first video demonstrates how to edit the content of an existing popup or edit the title of an existing popup. The second video shows how to create a brand-new popup.

VIDEO: Link Text to Popups
You can add or remove a glossary link to any text in C3PO that has the tool on the tool bar menu. Although the tool is called 'glossary link', you can also link CCS standards (ccss) and strategies (tstrategies).
- Highlight the text that you want to link to a popup.
- Select the "add or remove a glossary link" tool.
- The "Select a Glossary Item" window will appear.
- Begin typing the title of a glossary, ccs standard or strategy item.
- Select the item to link and click submit.
Note: The highlighted text does not need to match the test in the Select a Glossary Item window. Any text can be linked to any popup item title.
