This articles describes the process to restore staging to production for wpengine website.
Log in directly to staging: https://my.wpengine.com/installs/cpmstg/backup_points#production
Path: Log into WPEngine NOT Wordpress.
- Select Sites. Click cpm staging.
- Verify you are in cpmstg.
- Select "Backup points".
- Locate "Create backup" and "Restore". Note: Make a backup BEFORE restoring to production.
Click "Create Backup". (It is #4 on the image above.) From the popup menu:
- Remove description or create a specific one.
- Remove Curtis' email and add your own.
- Click "Create staging backup".
Wait until you have received an email that the back up was created. Refresh your browser until you see the newly created backup!

Restore from your newly created backup within Staging.

From the popup window:
- CHANGE Restore to: cpmorg - PROD.
- Remove Curtis email to YOUR EMAIL.
- Click "Restore staging backup".
- An email will be sent to you when staging is in production.
- PLEASE check to be certain the edits occurred in production and the site looks good.
