How to Create Closure Answer Containers

This article describes the procedure for changing the Table of answers in every closure to answers in the problem containers.

1. Create all of the containers
  1. In C3PO, click on the closure button.
  2. Scroll down to the Content Containers section and continue to the end of the containers!

  1. Click the "+" button.

  1. Add the problem numbers. The first column is what you see in the ebook.  The second column is a name different from the real problem. In this case A stands for Answer.
  2. Then click the SAVE icon.

  1. Click the EDIT button.

  1. Click the green "+" button.

  1. Click "SUBMIT".
    NOTE: Make sure that the Container Type is "question".

  1. Click "OK".
  2. Then click the "x" to exit.

2. Add the Columns and Headings
  1. Click the Question link to edit the contents of the container.
  2. Click the column icon to insert a 3 column layout (wide, narrow, narrow).
  3. Type the heading, "Solution " in the first column. Be sure to add a space after the word.  Bold the word, Solution, and the space.
    NOTE: If you do not do this correctly, solution will end up as a popup, which you do not want.
  4. Type the heading, "Need Help?" in the first column.
  5. Type the heading, "More Practice" in the second column.
  6. Highlight each headings and update the headings & font styles (Heading Style: H6; Font Style: Bold)

3. Add the content
  • Copy and paste from C3PO content to the new containers.
  • Format correctly.
  • Make the last two columns with narrow information. You may need to do command return to single space when you enter.
4. Add containers and Lines to Lesson
  1. At the end of the closure page, click the 'Horizontal Line' icon to add a horizontal line.
    NOTE: Add a horizontal line before and after each container.
  2. Click the wand icon, to add a container.

  1. Click "Insert Existing Lesson Content Container".

  1. Click the Lesson Content Container dropdown list and select the problem number.
    NOTE: There will be two numbers that are the same.  
  2. Select the one with a preview of:  Solution, Need Help?, and More Practice.
  3. Make sure you choose and element type: Problem.  While it is an Answer, it it is for students and is part of the student lesson and NOT an answer that teachers get.
  4. Click "SUBMIT" button.

5. Check your work.  
  1. Check to make sure each container has the correct number and correct content.
  2. Once satisfied, delelete the table with the answers that are now in the problem containers.
  3. Check again to be sure all looks well.
