How to Troubleshoot User Collision Warnings

If there is a issue of students not receiving an eBook license or not being able to access an eBook license and the district is a rostered district check for User Collisions.

roster.cpm.org can also have User Collision Warnings.  The fix is the same but the collision warning is located in a slightly different place.

  1. Enter the District ID in the Search to find the district. Once located select the correct district.
  1. On the customer dashboard choose View on the
  1. Select warnings to view if there is a User_Collision.
  1. In the example below there is a USER_COLLISION Warning.  Copy the email shown in the error and look the user up in ELS.

Check the account in ELS to see if it has a district and school assigned.  If the user does not have the needed data delete the account.  Once the roster runs again the issue should be resolved.

  1. Select Consumers to find the district account.
  2. Use the arrow key to scroll right to the Uploads.
  1. Choose Details for the most recent upload.
  1. User collisions can be found in license sync warnings tab.
