CPM Footer & Disclaimer in CPM eMail

This article describes how your CPM email can obtain the same CPM footer in all email.  Note: The footer does not show if mailing to another CPM employee.  To test, mail to your private/personal email address.

Below is how the footer should look in your emails.

On a laptop:

1. Check to make sure 'Composing' is NOT in plain text, but in 'HTML' or 'Rich Text'.

  • Go to your mail preferences.
  • Find Composing.
  • Turn Message Format to 'Rich Text' or 'HTML' depending on your system/platform.
  • Do a test by emailing a test email to your personal email.  If the footer is NOT correct, go to step 2.

2. If #1 failed above, check the signature.

  • Go to mail preferences.
  • Go to signature.
  • Add a signature of several lines and Bold 'CPM'.
  • Do a test by emailing a test email to your personal email. This should work!

On an iPhone or iPad:

Apparently, the iPhone or iPad does not have a setting for 'Rich Text' or 'HTML'.  But you can trick it by editing your signature.

3. Go to settings:

  • Scroll down to 'Mail'.
  • Click on Signature.

4. For your CPM mail:

  • Tap your signature.
  • Edit it by typing in more than one line.
  • You may need to bold some letters such as CPM.
  • Do a test by emailing a test email to your personal email. This should work!
