Using CPM Zoom

CPM employees may initiate or participate in Zoom meetings.  This tutorial is an introduction to Zoom.

Download and Add Zoom to your dock
  • Go to: https://zoom.us/download and download Zoom if you do not already have it in your applications.
  • Find Zoom in your applications folder and drag it to your dock. This allows for easy access to Zoom to create or join meetings.

Set Share Screen Access with Zoom

If you are on a Mac device, you will not be able to share your screen in Zoom until you set the privacy settings in System Preferences.

  1. From the Apple menu, click System Preferences.
  2. Select Security & Privacy.
  3. Select the Privacy tab at the upper right.
  4. Select separately both the Camera and Microphone.
  5. Check zoom and any other  applications needing either the camera or microphone.

This is the home screen.  Your version of Zoom may not include a phone at the top menu.

1. New Meeting

  • Click the arrow to the right of New Meeting.
  • Just start with video or use your personal Meeting place.
  • To the right of your Personal Meeting ID is an arrow allowing you to copy the ID or copy the invitation to send to participants.

2. Schedule

  • Click the Schedule icon to schedule a meeting.  
  • Check carefully every item scrolling to the end before setting the meeting.

3. Join

  • Click the Join icon.
  • You can join your own meeting or join other meeting rooms.

4. Share Screen

  • Add your meeting ID number to share your screen on start up.
