CPM Universal Licenses Introduction

Updated on

CPM Educational Program recently converted all previously purchased course-specific licenses to Universal Licenses. This conversion was completed automatically  no action is required by your district or school.

Universal Licenses simplify and streamline digital access management, giving both License Administrators and teachers greater flexibility in assigning and using licenses across CPM curriculum titles.

If you or your students are experiencing difficulty accessing digital course materials, please contact your License Administrator or CPM Support for assistance.

As a teacher, your experience using CPM’s digital resources remains largely the same. Here is what you should know:

1. Universal Licenses allow you to select the specific CPM course(s) you are teaching, rather than being limited to a pre-assigned title. Your License Administrator determines which curriculum titles are available to you.

2. Your current license and course assignments were preserved. No action is needed; your access to your CPM course materials continues as before.

3. If you had access to one of our multi-course licenses, you will now need to have one license for each course you need to access. Two additional Universal Licenses have been added to your account for every Bundled Teacher License your district/school has purchased.  Contact your License Administrator for additional licenses.

If you notice any discrepancies with license assignments or access, please contact CPM Support by submitting a ticket at support.cpm.org or emailing [email protected].

As a License Administrator, your role is to manage the distribution of Universal Licenses within your district or school. Here is what to expect:

1. Universal Licenses are no longer course-specific. Instead of managing separate licenses for each curriculum title, a single license will provide access to a course chosen by the teacher.  As a License Administrator, you will now see two simple numbers: total teacher licenses and total student licenses for your district.

2. You now control which courses can be assigned to your teachers by selecting the CPM curriculum titles that are approved for use by your district.

3. Your existing license assignments were automatically migrated. Teachers retained licenses previously assigned.

4. If your district/school has purchased the multi-course licenses, two additional Universal Licenses have been added to your account.  Teachers will now need to have a separate license for each course they need to access.
