Dropbox: How Do I Get a FREE 2gig Dropbox Account?

This tutorial describes the process for setting up a Free Dropbox Account.

1. Go to www.dropbox.com and download Dropbox to your computer.

Note: Having Dropbox on your computer does not mean it is sharing with anyone else.  You need to REGISTER dropbox and accept a shared invitation before you can share.

2. Double Click the icon called Dropbox.dmg.  It will install Dropbox on your computer.

3. Drag the open blue box icon in the adjacent folder.  This will put it in your applications folder.

4. Now go to your applications folder and double click the Dropbox Icon.

5. Click "Open".

10.  Almost complete.  You can hit continue to take the tour or skip the tour.

11. You only need to click on "Finish".

Note:  You need to have someone "share" a folder with you.  AND you need to accept the invitation.  See next steps.

12. Open the email from Dropbox.  You may need to look in your "Junk Mailbox". Click on the "View" link.

14. You know you are sharing when there are green checkmarks or blue circles in front of the files.
